Iceland This album contains images from my July 2011 trip to Iceland. I joined an organized hike that went from Mt. Hekla to the sea, including a once-in-lifetime hike up the recently erupted Eyjafjallajökull. The surrealistic landscape and the constantly changing lighting made for a photographic field day.
East Cape of Baja California Sur - Here are images of the "other" Baja, the unspoiled East Cape.
Tanzania - I've just returned (Nov. 2007) from visiting several of Tanzania's fabulous national parks. Here's a preview of coming attractions...
Amsterdam - For a photographer, Amsterdam's canals and architecture present unique opportunities and inspirations.
Central Asia - In 1996 I visited the former Soviet republics of Khyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The Muslims I met there were friendly and welcoming, both in the mountains of Khyrgyzstan and in the ancient but rapidly modernizing city of Samarkaand, Uzbekistan. This trip is one of my favorites.
At the Water's Edge - These images were all taken at the beach near my house, Seacliff State Beach. Most of the images are of patterns formed in the sand by the action of the water.
Architectual Images - This album contains images of both ancient and modern structures. Some of the images emphasize form while others emphasize color.
Black & White - My first experiments in photography more than 35 years ago were with black and white film. Digital image processing enables one to quickly convert a color image to black and white to see, as is sometimes the case, whether an image works better in shades of black, gray and white.
