At the Water's Edge - These images were all taken at the beach near my house, Seacliff State Beach. Most of the images are of patterns formed in the sand by the action of the water.

Black & White - My first experiments in photography more than 35 years ago were with black and white film. Digital image processing enables one to quickly convert a color image to black and white to see, as is sometimes the case, whether an image works better in shades of black, gray and white.
In A Balinese Garden - At a lovely resort in Pemuteran, Bali, I spent a relaxing afternoon photographing the lush gardens on the grounds. Nowhere else in the world have I seen such exquisite arrangements of flower petals.
